A charming antique gilt pocket watch from the Waltham Watch Company. Its case is beautifully engraved with flourishes, scrollwork and delicate textures. A blank shield is engraved on one side and a farm house is engraved on the other, a decidedly personal detail. The watch face is white porcelain, painted with delicate Arabic numerals. Graceful hands and a sub-dial elevate the piece. The 7 jewel, manual winding movement is numbered "7085739." This 1896 and September 1899.

The Waltham Watch Company produced about 40 million watches, clocks, speedometers, compasses, and other precision instruments between 1850 and 1957.

Details.....The watch measures 2.12" in diameter, 2.95" wide with crown and 0.71" thick. In Very Good Antique Condition. All vintage jewels will show some wear, it is in keeping with their age and a part of their charm.
