D30-1432; 1934 Tea Frock & Jacket

12-piece hand-drafted pattern originally from Simplicity, a very slenderizing ensemble especially when the skirt is cut bias vs. on straight of grain.  The skirt is cut out at the side seams below the hip into which an inset is sewn for a flounced effect.  The sleeveless jacket slips over the puff sleeves of the dress-when both made in matching fabric, it gives the appearance of a puffed sleeve jacket (conversely, the dress may be made sleeveless, as shown in the model).

1/2" seams are given.

Size 18 fits 36" bust, 30" waist, 39" hip.
